Professional Development Toilet Training Workshop for Overcoming Poo Problems and Other Toileting Challenges in the Classroom
Hold a 90 minuteToilet Training PD Workshop at your Childcare Centre to help your staff with toilet training.
This session provides a great opportunity for your staff to come together and gain invaluable insight into a common parenting challenge - toilet training. Workshop specific problems with toilet training at your centre, with discussion to provide solutions to implement key strategies in the classroom.
The PD Toilet Training Workshop is run by Tracy Fulwood, a toilet training professional with over 16 years experience running workshops and helping families toilet train. With a Master of Education Early Years, Tracy has designed the Know Your Child system to help educators and families to understand their children at the critical age of development 0-5 years. With this child-centred approach to toilet training, it empowers both educators and families to work together for the benefit of the child.
FREE $200 "Positive Childcare" Know Your Child Annual Membership Included for In-House Staff Training
Included with the PD Workshop is the "Positive Childcare" Know Your Child membership. The annual subscription is $200 and is included with the workshop so you can follow through with further in-house staff training in this area. The digital tools and resources align with the parent resources so everyone is on the same page. Additionally, it provides the necessary link to help families take charge of their own toilet training needs.
PD Workshops are provided in the Brisbane area at COB. Travel outside of a 50km radius from the Brisbane City Centre will incur an extra fuel / time charge. Add the preferred time and dates in the comments section upon ordering and we will phone to confirm.

- Starting Toilet Training - Best practices to help your children begin toilet training. Tracy's strategies can help you work with parents so they can finish toilet training in days, even from 18 months old.
- Overcoming Poo Problems - An extremely stressful (and prolific) challenge parents face with toilet training is their child refusing to poo on the toilet or potty; hiding to poo; wanting the nappy on to poo; and withholding poo. Tracy can provide a dedicated approach to overcome this common toilet training problem based on a child's specific needs.
- Overcoming Fear and Anxiety - A child's fear of using the toilet can result in complete toilet refusal, or not being able to relax to go once they are there. Using the right language and techniques specific to your child, you can turn this situation around and have your child racing to go.
- Overcoming Laziness and Lack of Motivation - A frustrating and difficult scenario that can hinder toilet training for many months, sometimes years. A very different strategy is required to gain success, over and above rewards and encouragement.
- Working with Parents - Communication is key, and ensuring consistency is maintained from centre to home is integral to helping a child succeed with toilet training.

Tracy Fulwood has a Masters in Early Childhood Education and has worked within the childcare industry for over 16 years. Additionaly, she is an Industrial Designer, and entrepreneur of 20 years, children’s book author and illustrator, parenting expert, speaker, and has a passion to see families thrive. With these unique skills and experience, creativity and innovation collide with Early Childhood Education, and form the foundation for the Know Your Child system.
