DAY TIME TRAINING

  • Whizz & Plop Go Potty Pack  ***- A Guaranteed system that makes toilet training so much quicker & easier. Comes in two themes: Dumpy the Dump Truck and Bella the Butterfly.  It is "how" for the parent, "motivation" for the child.  They will be racing to go with this success system.  The goal is to help parents toilet train their child well before two years old and it can often be done in just days.
  • Lupi Lu - The ultimate solution to replace the toilet seat insert.  The child and adult seat in one.  The fact you need to use a toilet seat insert EVERY DAY for 2-4 years depending on when you start, this product just saves the day and your sanity.  Seriously consider this investment.
  • Toilet Seat Insert - If you don't use a Lupi Lu you need a toilet seat insert to add/remove to your toilet to make the hole smaller.  If you child is struggling just to hold on they physically can't go.
  • Potty - One with a splash - back and back support is recommended.  Choose an inexpensive potty - no more than $10 as it is such a temporary item that you may only use for a couple of months.  You are best investing in the Lupi Lu which you will be using for years.

  • Stool - To reach toilet and tap to wash hands.
  • Brand New Underpants - Approximately 10-15.
  • Training Pants - Thicker, more absorbent underpants, usually made out of terry towelling material.  Often come in smaller sizes.
  • Weeman * -  A urinal that hangs on the side of the toilet to teach boys to stand to wee just like Daddy.  Wee, flip, flush - very convenient.  No hands, no stool required.
  • Wee Target * - To teach boys how to aim.  The transitition into the toilet once they are tall enough to reach.  Hit the spot with your wee, make a car, truck, train, flush goes back to the black spot.  So much fun for small and tall!
  • Toilet Yum Yums * - So much fun.  Food for Mr Toilet.  It is target practice without the accuracy required, just a lot of fun.  Good for boys and girls, potties and toilets, wees and poos.  Either hit them with your wees or bomb them with your poos.  Watch them spin around in the Weeman for boys when they hit them with their wees.
  • Potty Books - Stories to read to your child to explain the process of going to the toilet. Can be used to introduce the toilet training process to your child in preparation to start.  Some books are great for just poos, others for starting, etc.
  • Favourite Books or Toys - For your child to play with while on the toilet to keep interest.
  • Appropriate Clothes - That allow your child to easily go to the toilet unobstructed. Eg. Dresses or skirts for girls, no complicated buttons, elastic waste pants.

Can use as game as further incentive to get your child to the toilet eg. Tell your child, ”When you hear the bell, you race Mummy to the toilet and see who get's there first“.

LEAVING THE HOME

  • Potette Plus - The most essential product for leaving the home.  A portable potty and toilet seat insert in one. Good to keep in the car for emergencies.   Saves the day.  Avoid the poo in the pants while you are out simply because you couldn't get to the toilet in time.  It is a potty when there is no toilet - no clean out - plastic bag/bin - and a toilet seat insert when there is a toilet for hygene and consistency between home and out and about.
  • Cushie Traveller - Good for really small bottoms.  A folding toilet seat insert only.  It has a particularly small hole so it is perfect for children that are really tiny and struggle with even a normal toilet seat insert.
  • Waterproof Training Pants - Great for leaving the home.  Our Big Kid range have a waterproof layer so that if your child has an accident it takes away the stress.  Saves the car seat and puddles on the floor at the shops.
  • Spare Clothes - Approx 2 sets
  • Appropriate Clothes - That allow your child to easily go to the toilet unobstructed. Eg. Dresses and skirts for girls, no complicated buttons, elastic waste pants.
These are really handy for leaving the home to entice your child to use the toilet while out and about.
  • Child's Backpack - Allows your child to take ownership if carrying own spare clothes, etc. Extra reminder for your child to go to toilet.
  • Tote Bag - Water resistant bag for soiled clothes.
  • Scents for Tote Bag - To mask smells.
  • Flushable Wipes ** - To assist with any clean up if necessary. Flushable ones are the best to use for the convenience of throwing them straight into the toilet.  These are great for little girls especially to teach to wipe well to avoid UTI.

EARLY POTTY TRAINING

  • Early-Start Potty Training (book)  * - Excellent resource for parents wanting to start potty training a baby.  This is your game plan for starting a gaby.  Covers all age groups so it is great for parents with a baby and a toddler.  Recommended for <12mths old.
  • Lupi Lu - The ultimate solution to replace the toilet seat insert.  The child and adult seat in one.  The fact you need to use a toilet seat insert EVERY DAY for 2-4 years depending on when you start, this product just saves the day and your sanity.  Seriously consider this investment if you are starting early with a baby as you will be using an insert for an extra year or so otherwise.  I started to pop my baby on the Lupi Lu at 9mths old so he was never afraid of the toilet.  The Lupi Lu makes it easy to do this.
  • Toilet Seat Insert - If you don't use a Lupi Lu you need a toilet seat insert to add/remove to your toilet to make the hole smaller.  If you child is struggling just to hold on they physically can't go.  Harder to use with a baby as you are chasing it around the toilet seat trying to add your baby, but you need something to make the hole smaller if you are going to use the toilet.
  • Potty - One with a splash - back and back support is recommended.  Choose an inexpensive potty - no more than $10 as it is such a temporary item that you may only use for a couple of months.  You are best investing in the Lupi Lu which you will be using for years.
  • Disinfectant Spray - For Hygiene if Using a Potty eg. Glen 20
  • Tissues / Toilet Paper - Positioned near potty for easy access.  Tissues are easy to grab with one hand.
  • Flushable Wipes **- There are wipes that are designed to be able to flush down a toilet so makes it easier when potty training a baby.  You can throw them straight into the potty, straight into the toilet rather than trying to find a bin with the normal wipes.
  • Training Pants - Thicker more absorbent pants (approx 10 pairs). Recommended once your child has bowel control or you confidently know your child's "poo" routine or signs. You can use these whenever you are ready though, you just probably want to avoid the unpleasantness of removing and cleaning poo - covered pants. My son gained bowel control very quickly from around 5 months old.
  • Pilchers - Waterproof outer layer placed over cloth nappies or training pants to stop leakage. (can be used with normal underpants to help make them waterproof)
  • Cloth Nappies - That allow your child to feel wet. If you aren't using toilet training pants then it is best to use this type of nappy that your child will respond to wetness. By taking the wet sensation away from your child, it reduces their ability to know they have gone. There are some great, modern designs available now that make it as easy as putting on a disposable.
  • Waterproof Training Pants - Great for leaving the home.  Our Big Kid range have a waterproof layer so that if your child has an accident it takes away the stress.  Saves the car seat and puddles on the floor at the shops.  If you use our Early-Start Potty Training game plan you can have your baby poo trained very early on, so wearing undies is very doable.  The Big Kid pants come in Small size that can fit a baby 3-9kg.
  • Tote Bag - Water resistant bag to contain wet and soiled nappies / pants. Can use this system for the home, with smaller bags available when leaving the house.
  • Scents for Tote Bag - To mask smells
  • Timer - Often an oven timer is easiest to use. Used as a reminder for placing your child on the potty based on his routine.
  • Favourite Books or Toys - For your child to play with while on the potty to keep interest. Keep near potty.
  • Potty Training Clothes - Appropriate clothes for quick and easy access to potty (often nothing on the bottom end but training pants is the best if climate allows). There are also special Chinese baby and toddler training pants available on the market that have an opening at the crotch. These are designed to wear nothing underneath for quick and easy elimination when required.
  • Change Mat - A change mat or baby blanket is good for keeping the carpet, couch, bed, etc clean that you are placing your bare - bottomed baby on, as well as protection for your baby. It is good to have a least one waterproof mat and a soft blanket for comfort.

NIGHT TIME TRAINING

  • Waterproof Sheet Protector - This is placed over the top of the bottom sheet so you don't have to change sheets if an accident occurs, just the bedpad. It absorbs liquids away from your child, protecting the sheets at the same time.  This allows your child to feel wet, integral to successful night training, but reduces the workload of accidents.  If you don't have this item you seriously go insane as with each accident, you have to strip the bed, remake the bed, wash all of the linen and then do it all over again the next night.  With a brolly sheet you just have to strip this off and you are ready to go.
  • Waterproof Mattress Protector - Protects your mattress only- good as a back up to the sheet protector and will be all you use eventually for one off accidents once trained.
  • Waterproof Training Pants - Great for night training and in combination with the Waterproof Sheet Protector.  Our Big Kid range have a waterproof layer so that if your child has an accident it can eliminate the need to wash the top sheet of your linen which may occur if they have a bigger wet.  Your child still feels wet, integral for successful night training, but you have the sanity of the waterproof layer as well reducing the amount of clean up.
  • Night Light - A night light can work wonders for helping your child feel confident at night to go to toilet.
  • Potty - Can put beside your child's bed for emergencies or if they feel comfortable to use this at night rather than finding their way to the toilet, so they don't have to wake Mum or Dad.
  • Reward Chart *** - This is great to help motivate your child to get up and go.  Combined with a game plan, you are giving your child the best chance to succeed.  Comes in two themes: Dumpy the Dump Truck and Bella the Butterfly.
  • Boss of Bladder (paperback) - This is your game plan for night training.  If you practice the right habits you are giving your child the best chance to succeed.
