stress pooers what can I do1

I have a 6 year old girl and a 12 year old boy that when things get a little stressed they poo their pants. WE have had a very stressful 2 years and this has corsed all sorts of other problems with school and friends.
I have taken them to coucellers and doctors and all have said it will end when the stress goes away or they think of another way to deal with it. Unfortnatly I have many more years of stress to come at the moment as we have a had a very large disterbance to the family and our lives and don't see an end very soon.
I was hoping if there were some suggestions to get them to calm it down or stop altogeather.

That is a really tough issue, especially at their ages where it can impact their schooling and friendships.
I also came on to this forum to find out about older children pooing their pants - my 8yo son frequently poos. Like your children I suspect there is an emotional connection (he will often poo when he is in trouble or upset) but not always. Most of the time I just don't think he recognises the urge. Not a cool thing! He also bed wets but I find the pooing much more inconvenient.
